Luggage space:
Some vehicles have more space for luggage than others – our staff will be pleased to advise on the best vehicle for your party.

Rates include:
Unlimited kilometres and Motor Vehicle Insurance (subject to Accident Damage Excess ADE). Rates are calculated on a 24 hours period.

Rates exclude:
A deposit will be collected at the time of pick up to cover additional charges such as AER.
Refuelling services and optional extras.
Ferry pick up fee of NZ$20.80 avaiable on request only and only applicable if collecting outside the hours of 0800-1800.

Insurance excess:
Excess collectable in the event of accident or damage is up to NZD1688.00 for vehicle categories ECMR-FWAR, and NZD2813.00 for vehicle categories IFAR-XVAR. This amount can be reduced at the time of rental by purchasing Accident Excess Reduction (AER).

Groups ECMR-FWAR – pay NZD21.38 per day and reduce the excess to NZD225.00.

Groups IFAR-XVAR – pay NZD21.38 per day and reduce the excess to NZD281.50.

Fuel bond:
NZ$100 is payable when you pick up your vehicle but refunded in full if you return your vehicle with a full tank of fuel.

Minimum rental period:
3 consecutive days

One way rental:
Providing you rent for the minimum 3 day period, you may pick up your vehicle at one location and drop off at another.

Inter-Island rental:
There is no need to take your car on the inter-island ferry as there are rental depots at both ferry terminals on North and South Islands. For example, you drop your vehicle off in the North Island at the Wellington terminal, take the ferry across the Cook Strait and pick up another vehicle on arrival at Picton on the South Island. A minimum of 3 days rental on each island is required and a continuous hire rate is applicable if the second vehicle is collected within 24 hours.

Rental locations:
Most vehicles can be picked up and dropped off at Auckland, Wellington, Picton, Christchurch and Queenstown. Please check at the time of booking.
