Seat in Coach Tours

‘Seat in Coach’ tours are a great way to explore if you prefer not to be part of an escorted group, yet want the security of pre-booked accommodation and transport between places of interest.

If you are on your own, you are certain to meet up with other travellers and naturally you will meet the locals on some of your journeys as well. There is complete flexibility of departure dates, so that these tours can fit in with any other travel arrangements you may have made.

Many of our self-drive itineraries can be taken as Seat in Coach holidays. You travel using pre-booked scheduled coach services with Newmans and Intercity, the two largest and most experienced coach companies in New Zealand. Some itineraries also include a train sector. Each journey is more than a bus ride – where appropriate, the coach drivers will point out places of interest and stop to break the journey.

As with our self drive itineraries we offer a choice between First Class, Tourist and Budget accommodation.
