Outline Itinerary [1/2] >>
Day 1:	arrive Auckland Arrive in Auckland and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day free to explore the ‘City of Sails’.
Day 2:	Auckland-Waitomo-Rotorua Pick up from your hotel and head south by scheduled coach through the Bombay Hills to the pasturelands of the Waikato. Passing Hamilton, you soon reach the Waitomo Caves, where you take an enchanting subterranean boat cruise to the famous glow worm grotto. After lunch (included) continue to Rotorua, New Zealand’s acclaimed geothermal area where you stay for two nights.
Day 3:	exploring Rotorua This morning you take a scheduled sightseeing tour to visit some of Rotorua’s best attractions, including the Whakarewarewa geothermal reserve, the native garden at Paradise Valley Springs and the entertaining and informative Agrodome Sheep Show. The afternoon is free to explore on your own and perhaps enjoy a thermal bath. In the evening enjoy a traditional Maori hangi dinner and concert (included).
Day 4:	Rotorua-Queenstown Transfer to the airport for the flight to Queenstown. On arrival transfer to your accommodation in this stunning lakeside resort, where you stay for 3 nights. Note: the flight is not included in tour price and is normally booked in conjunction with your flights to and from New Zealand.
Day 5:	Queenstown-Milford Sound-Queenstown A thrilling day, which starts with the wonderful drive to Te Anau and through the Eglinton and Hollyford Valleys. You’ll take the Homer Tunnel and arriving in Milford Sound, board the boat. The very scenic cruise takes you in view of mile high Mitre Peak to Stirling and Pembroke Falls cascading into the fiord from over 500ft above you – a buffet lunch is included on board. At the end of the cruise return by coach to Queenstown for another night.
Day 6:	Queenstown A day at leisure to choose your own optional activity (at additional cost). There is so much to see and do in this lakeside resort town – anything from a bungy jump to a lake cruise on a vintage steamer. You can also visit a high country sheep station, try fly-fishing, take a scenic gondola trip or jet boat ride.
