Outline Itinerary [2/2] <<
Day 10: Queenstown-Te Anau (170 km)
Today make your way to Te Anau, gateway to Fiordland National Park for an overnight stay.
Day 11: Te Anau-Manapouri-Doubtful Sound
The journey to Doubtful Sound begins with a cruise across Lake Manapouri. After disembarking at West Arm you then travel over Wilmot Pass by coach through dense rainforest. At Deep Cove board the Fiordland Navigator for a leisurely exploration of Doubtful Sound. The vessel then anchors in one of Doubtful Sound's hidden arms. A 3 course buffet evening meal is served in the dining salon where there is also a licensed bar. Optional excursions are available at no extra cost e.g. kayaking.
Day 12: Doubtful Sound-Manapouri-Te Anau
Today collect you rental vehicle on arrival back in Manapouri and drive to your accommodation. Overnight in Te Anau.
Day 13: Te Anau-Dunedin (290 km)
Make your way to Dunedin, the Edinburgh of the South Island for a 2-night stay.
Day 14: Dunedin
Spend the day at leisure.
Day 15: Dunedin-Auckland (by air)
Today make your way to Dunedin airport, return your rental car and fly to Auckland. On arrival in Auckland transfer by seat in coach shuttle to your accommodation. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight in Auckland.
Day 16: Auckland
This morning you will be collected from your hotel by Fine Wine Tours for your full day North Auckland Wine Tour including visits to 3 boutique wineries in pictureseque Matakana wine region and lunch. Later this afternoon you will be returned to your hotel. Overnight in Auckland.
Day 17: depart Auckland
Today a seat in coach shuttle transfer is arranged from your hotel to Auckland airport for your departing flight.
