Whilst away (continued):

• Ask permission before photographing local people or sites that may be sensitive such as military bases
• Try to eat in locally run restaurants and buy local produce and souvenirs
• Try not to buy products made from endangered species and if bargaining over a purchase offer a fair price
• Do not pick wild flowers or plants
• If viewing wildlife follow the advice given by your guide
• Often the people in the country you are visiting have different time concepts and thoughts from your own, this does not make them inferior, only different
• We do not recommend giving money to beggars and do not be afraid to return gifts for which you are then expected to pay for
