| Day 1: |
arrive Auckland
Arrive Auckland where you will be met and transferred to Rydges
Auckland for a 2 night stay. Rest of day at leisure. |
| Day 2: |
Auckland
Morning tour of the city then afternoon at leisure to relax after your journey. Dinner at your hotel. |
| Day 3: |
Auckland-Bay of Islands
Head north out of Auckland and view the imposing Kauri Tree
before visiting the Matakohe Kauri Museum. Continue to the
Bay of Islands for a guided tour through Waitangi Treaty
House. Next 2 nights at the Kingsgate Hotel Autolodge in
Paihia. |
| Day 4: |
Bay of Islands
Today is free to relax or to explore at your own pace this picturesque and historical area. Your Tour Director will assist with suggestions (optional activities at own expense). |
| Day 5: |
Bay of Islands-Auckland
Enjoy a cruise to Cape Brett Lighthouse, Piercy Island and
through the famous ‘Hole in the Rock’ aboard
a luxury catamaran (weather permitting). Overnight accommodation
at Rydges Auckland Hotel. |
| Day 6: |
Auckland-Waitomo-Rotorua
Journey to the top of Mt Eden, Auckland's highest extinct volcano,
then head south through some of New Zealand's
most ferile farmland to the amazing Ruakuri glowworm cave.
Ruakuri cave offers a captivating blend of Waitomo's most
compelling subetrranean experiences. During your tour, a
guide will bring you up close to glowworms, elaborate cave
formations, underground rivers, myths, legends and secret
Maori sites. Continue onto Whakararewa Forest for a relaxing
stroll through the towering Californian coastal redwwods.
Enjoy a traditional Maori cultural performance followed by
a hangi
feast. Spend

Rotorua
View the sunrise over the shores of Lake Rotorua on the Lakeland
Queen historic paddle steamer, whilst enjoying a glass of
sparkling wine and a hearty breakfast. Visit the Agrodome
for an entertaining sheep shearing show then
head
to Te Puia
Thermal
Valley and
the
fascinating Maori Arts and Craft Centre. This afternoon is
at leisure for you to relax or explore this unique area. |
