| A fly-in/fly-out heli-hike combining the excitement of walking on the Fox Glacier with the thrill of helicopter flights. Visit ice caves and other wonderful formations below the upper ice fall. This tour allows you to explore a part of the glacier that is otherwise very hard to get to. Some fitness and agility is required. |

| Take a short minibus ride to the river where you will connect with the jetboat. The jetboat ride is a gentle 20 minutes each way. From the jetty it is just a short boardwalk (500 metres) through native bush to the viewing point. You can stay and view the birds for approximately 30-40 minutes. The White Heron and Royal Spoonbill nest here. All tours are accompanied by a guide and wet weather gear is provided. Hotel pick up from Franz Josef is available at an additional cost. |
