Arrive Auckland
Transfer to Aachen House for an overnight stay.

Auckland-Rotorua (200 km)
Collect your car and drive to Rotorua allowing plenty of time
to explore this town. Entrance fees are included to Te Puia
Thermal Reserve, Agrodome Sheep Show and the native garden setting
of Rainbow Springs. Overnight at The Springs.

Rotorua-Napier (225 km)
Enjoy a leisurely drive to Napier, perhaps taking time to explore the sights around Rotorua and Lake Taupo, famed for its activities, which include jet boating and trout fishing. Spend 2 nights at The County Hotel.

Napier
Explore the parks and gardens of this distinctive city and enjoy lunch at one of Hawkes Bay's famous wineries.

Napier-Gisborne (215 km)
Follow the sweeping coastline to Gisborne – the first town in New Zealand to see the sunrise each day. Overnight at Knapdale Eco-Lodge.

Gisborne-Tauranga (485 km)
Continue along the coastal road, around the East Cape. Eastland is renowned for its scenic coastal beauty and a stunning hinterland with lakes, ranges, rainforests and rolling farmland. Continue to the Ridge Country Retreat.

Tauranga-Coromandel (170 km)
Drive north to Katikati and the beautiful coastal beaches of the Coromandel, where you can explore the bush and beaches for which the area is renowned. Overnight at Brenton Lodge.

| Day 8: |
Coromandel-Auckland (160 km)
Take a leisurely drive up the Seabird Coast and Clevedon to Auckland, returning your rental car to the city or airport depot.
