the West Coast of the South Island on the banks of
the Moeraki River in four
hectares of grounds only two kms from the Tasman
Sea. The surrounding wilderness, including
1,000 year-old native trees, explored by foot, vehicle
or canoe. Fur seals can be viewed year
round and the rare Fiordland crested penguin (in
season). 10 superior garden rooms with
interconnecting doors (5 king/5 queen and single).
18 standard lodge rooms (6 queen, 12 queen
and single), all with ensuites, spacious guest lounge,
with open log fire, overlooking the river.
Two restaurants with an excellent wine selection
and great wilderness food. Complimentary
daily naturalist-guided programme of 2 activities
e.g. rainforest and bird discovery walks, lake
