| Overnight Cruises |
The best way to appreciate the serene beauty of Milford Sound is by taking an overnight cruise. This allows you to enjoy the scenery and wildlife when the day boats are not around, and to see parts of the sound that day trips don’t visit. We offer a choice of vessel:
Milford Wanderer - a motor vessel designed along the lines of a traditional New Zealand scow. Accommodation is in compartments, each with 4 bunks and bed linen, pillow and towel are provided. Shower and toilet facilities are shared.
Milford Mariner – a motorised sailing vessel with comfortable accommodation in two-berth cabins with private facilities.
Note: all cruises are weather dependent. |

| Late afternoon departure to cruise through the sound to the Tasman Sea. Along the way, the vessel leisurely explores points of interest, including waterfalls, rainforests and wildlife, enhanced by the knowledge of the nature guides on board. The evening and early morning light is often very good for photography, so make sure you have plenty of film. We pick a sheltered spot to anchor for a hearty dinner and overnight stay on board. Next morning before breakfast there is the chance to do some kayaking or explore on land, before returning to Milford Wharf. |
