| Abel Tasman National Park, with its stunning coastline, is ideally suited to both sea kayaking and easy trekking, which we combine on these three and five day itineraries to make a really great activity holiday. No previous experience is needed for either the trekking or kayaking, though a good general level of fitness is useful. |
| If you are travelling with someone who would prefer not to kayak, the kayaking days can also be walked in addition to the days set aside for trekking. During the holidays, all you carry is a day rucksack, which we provide for your use – the rest of your luggage is transported by boat.
Abel Tasman National Park encompasses one of the most beautiful coastlines in New Zealand – and some would argue, in the world. Its turquoise seas fill a maze of coves and inlets, which are linked by dramatic headlands that offer far-reaching views of the coast.
These generally calm and sheltered waters lap a shoreline of golden sand beaches, fringed by luxuriant native forests, through which the Coastal Track winds along a peaceful route. It is hard to imagine a more idyllic setting for our three and five day adventures, during which we stay at comfortable lodges with all meals included.
