the Shotover jet boat ride, then climb aboard the
jet turbine-powered helicopter for a heart-stopping
flight up Skippers Canyon. Reaching Deep Creek, meet
with the rafting guides and set off downstream. The
pace quickens as you near the exhilarating rapids
of the lower canyon for a spectacular end to the
trip. Relax in a sauna at the Rafting Lodge. Bring

| Drive the
historic Skippers Road following the gold miners’ trail
to Skippers Canyon. At Deep Creek we take to the
rafts and enjoy a gentle start to the trip, through
quiet waters. Once in the lower canyon, things hot
up and we have to negotiate the rapids of the Rock
Garden, Sharks Fin, Toilet, Pinball, Jaws, Sequel
and the unforgettable Oxenbridge Tunnel, ending with
the Cascade. Enjoy a hot shower and sauna before
returning to Queenstown. |

hotel pick up, follow one of the world's most scenic
highways on the 45 minute lakeside drive to the frontier
town of Glenorchy. Your driver will point out Lord
of the Rings film locations on the way. From Glenorchy,
your journey into the heart of Middle Earth begins.
On Safari you will experience 1.5 hours of New Zealand's
most scenic jetboating, take a gentle walk in the
ancient forests of this unique World Heritage area,
and on the backroad journey through Paradise see
more of the film locations for Lord of the Rings. |
