Enjoy a guided tour of the Maori village of Ohinemutu and take a lakeside and rainforest walk. Visit the historic Buried village and the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute and Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve. Walking time 3 hours (distance 3 km) - suitable for most levels of fitness.

Head off-road for the ultimate 4WD adventure – a self drive bush safari where you manoeuvre the 4WD over an extreme off-road trail set in beautiful native forest, followed by the Monster 4x4 thrill ride. Continue to the Helipro Base and enjoy a helicopter flight over some of the regions spectacular volcanic crater lakes to Mokoia Island. Back on the ground, enjoy a walk amongst some of New Zealand's rarest birdlife such as the stitchbird, black robin and saddleback as well as historical landmark's including Hinemoa's pool. After lunch (at own expense) board the 38ft launch, the Clearwater Pride for a scenic cruise on picturesque Lake Tarawera, which lies at the foot of majestic Mt Tarawera. After your cruise make your way back to your hotel. No hotel pick up/drop off included. Clients are required to make their own way between all tours. Suitable for self drive clients. This exciting tour focuses on the natural wonders around scenic Lake Taupo, starting with the multicoloured geothermal springs and geyser at Wai-O-Tapu. Continuing to Wairakei, we visit the geothermal power station’s Visitor Centre and Huka Falls, which cascade into a narrow gorge. In Taupo there is time at leisure to take a jet boat ride (at additional cost) or explore and shop on your own before returning to Rotorua.
