Outline Itinerary [3/3]
Day 13: Queenstown-Milford Sound-Te Anau
Journey on the Kingston Flyer, New Zealand’s fully-restored famous vintage steam train. See magnificent views of Lake Wakatipu, tussock grasslands and fascinating alpine desert, before arriving in Fairlight. Reboard the coach and travel to Te Anau, gateway to Fiordland National Park. Join an unforgettable cruise on Milford Sound, the most accessible of Fiordland’s magnificent glacier carved fjords, including the famous Mitre Peak. Travel to Te Anau for overnight at the charming Village Inn.
Day 14: Te Anau-Stewart Island-Invercargill
Travel to Bluff for the ferry ride across to Stewart Island, the smallest and most natural of New Zealand's islands and home to Rakiura National Park.

Scenic FreeChoice Options: choose from (1) cruise Paterson Inlet and visit Ulva Island Sanctuary; or (2) explore Oban and the surrounding bays; or (3) enjoy superb underwater viewing from a semi-submersible.
Day 15: Invercargill-Dunedin
Enjoy the scenery on the journey to Dunedin for a two-night stay in this wonderful city.

Home Stay: opportunity to experience the warmth of the local people during an overnight local Home Stay. Must be booked before departure. Included in the tour, at no extra cost.
Day 16: Dunedin
Scenic FreeChoice Options: choose from (1) guided tour of Lanarch Castle; or (2) see the famous yellow-eyed penguins and albatross; or (3) enjoy a rail journey through Taieri Gorge; or (4) take a guided tour of Speights Brewery.
Day 17: Dunedin-Mt Cook-Twizel
See the Moeraki Boulders. Journey through world famous Mt Cook National Park, as appeared in the ‘The Lord of The Rings’ movies. Stop to view Mt Cook (subject to weather). Overnight at the MacKenzie Country Inn.
Day 18: Twizel-Lake Tekapo-Christchurch
Travel over tussock plains to breathtaking Lake Tekapo. Visit the Church of the Good Shepherd ideally situated on the lake’s edge. Arrive in Christchurch and enjoy a brief city tour. Overnight at the Millennium Hotel in the heart of Cathedral Square and farewell dinner.
Day 19: Christchurch
Continue your onward journey or transfer to Christchurch airport for return flight to UK.
