Outline Itinerary [2/2]
Day 6: Te Anau-Dunedin
Travel across Lake Te Anau to the glow worm caves, where you will glide by small boat through the silent darkness of the Glow Worm Grotto. Rejoin the coach and journey to Dunedin for an overnight stay at Southern Cross Hotel.

Home Stay: opportunity to experience the warmth of the local people during an overnight local Home Stay. Must be booked before departure. Included in the tour, at no extra cost.
Day 7: Dunedin-Twizel
See the Moeraki Boulders. Journey through world famous Mt Cook National Park, as appeared in the ‘The Lord of The Rings’ movies. Stop to view Mt Cook (subject to weather). Overnight at the MacKenzie Country Inn.
Day 8: Twizel-Mt Cook-Lake Tekapo-Christchurch
Travel to Mt Cook National Park to view the peak, then continue over tussock plains to breathtaking Lake Tekapo. Visit the Church of the Good Shepherd ideally situated on the lake’s edge. Arrive in Christchurch and enjoy a brief city tour. Overnight at the Millennium Hotel in the heart of Cathedral Square and farewell dinner.
Day 9: Christchurch
Opportunity to replace the day’s touring with a whale watching cruise at Kaikoura or dolphin watching in Akaora (surcharge applies). Tour concludes early evening.

Scenic FreeChoice Day: choose from (1) Punting along the beautiful Avon River; or (2) A local garden visit; or (3) A historic Tram Sightseeing Pass, or (4) Guided bike tour. Included in the tour, at no extra cost.
