private farmland on the shores of Lake Wanaka, Whare Kea
Lodge offers the ultimate in scenery and seclusion. Whare
Kea Lodge captures the full beauty and grandeur of the
Southern Alps and Mt Aspiring National Park while providing
the ultimate in sophisticated accommodation for guests.
Whare Kea can sleep up to 12 guests in two master suites
and four double rooms. Each double lodge room has its own
ensuite, walk-in dressing room and direct access on to
the sundeck and grounds. First class cuisine is provided
on a table d’hôte basis using only the finest
and freshest quality ingredients. Just a short drive from
the township of Wanaka means easy accessibility to ski
resorts, heli-skiing, the airport, Mt Aspiring National
Park and the lake itself. |
The
Whare Kea Experience
Experience a 15 minute Helicopter flight from Whare Kea Lodge’s Helipad
through the majestic mountain scenery. Enjoy a specially prepared picnic luncheon
at the Whare Kea Alpine Chalet, while overlooking Mt Aspiring. After lunch take
a light mountain walk, then back to the helicopter for a 20 minute scenic flight
taking in the Southern Alps and Wanaka Lake region on your journey back to Whare
Kea Lodge.
